    • The more i think of the 9K incentive  the more I think it is a stop loss program.

The younger generation are the least to attach to Singapore and they desperately needs to hold onto this generation.

That also explain why they don't need to compensate the older folks cause they aren't going anywhere....

I just think that the government is unable to deal with root cause of lower population and brain drain.

    • TS you have trouble believing she is your true love ?

You said you don't believe due to "some history".  What's that ?  Is that the reason ?

    • try DIAC immigration website.defacto is mainly used when a person is already a pr or citizen in oz....low chance unless she wants to wait for u .changes in policies happen every month in the department.

oz is currently facing housing shortages or accomadation rents shortage,,,so u might wanna see how it goes for u.if u do love her that much........im afraid i cant think of a solution after what happened to some guy who used his passport from holland to come back to spore after failing to do his spore national service.

    • Why night shift drivers benefit the most ?

      Cos after 8pm ,  people from Tuas , AP , MBS , RWS , Orchard , Shenton , Suntec , Clarke Quay etc ..... need taxis !!

Dunno why commuters loves taking a cab home altogether between 8pm to 11pm ?

This listed areas need taxis the most .....

Taxis will never be enough during this period .

When supply is there , demand is high , u need to pay more for a cab , there's where Lake View came in .

    • hmmmm....complicated.....australians are bad in organising stuff ...maybe its in this hillbilly town im in.....in fact most of industries i have seen so far in this oz town looks more like a joke as compared to singapore mnc and family owned.

aussies i know are somewhat similar to the malaysians in that they tend to give difficcult jobs to foreigners and some are very violent at werk...even wilder than a  texan high on marijuana and cocaine at the same time.perhaps its the defects that came along with the very first foreigners from england when they discovered australia.they tend to be much more violent.kevin rudd the ex prime minister who had ancestors who were criminals from england yelled at one time at a female airforce stewardess in an airforce australian passenger aircraft.the reason being food was not provided.

australians i know are not very friendly when u enter their workplace.so if theres some guy with muscles n tattoos..that going to werk next to u,,,,,they love playing monopoly.

MONOPOLY IS THEIR GAME AT WERK. ....they have no ethics unless u werk in a aussie place thats surrounded by asians.thats the sad fact bout australia....they tend to play monopoly games at werk more than they really do constructive werk.

and when u accomplish something even in front of many witness yer aussie colleague would take over yer werk and says he knows all yer werk even though he has been unable to solve the same problem  for the last 2 years .meanwhile expect them everyday at werk to be talking a long time with other people, not introducing u to systems, hiding information from you etc etc....usual nonsense that creates a unprogressive dfangerous enviroment.

thats my experience so far in oz...it could be different in your case.

    • Who largely will benefit & get a better share of bookings ?

Night shift drivers , those working from 5pm all the way til morning hours .

Cos we do not have enough night drivers for those abundance of jobs . Too many , some jobs outside CBD just leaked out .

Cos out of those 120 members , most are just there to listen to lobangs .

Skilful ones are very little .

Most are not confident enough , most are just road sweepers , until now , many still are road sweeper .

Don't join Lake View just to sweep , do enjoy those actions when bubble burst . FUN !!

Only about 20% are actively into the bookings .

When u join , it's best u not only listen , but to participate more on taking bookings .

Some days like quiet , so less bookings .

Normally , action can be as much as 800 pieces of call for a bad raining day .

Hmm ..... Lake View quantity of calls can never match those from CDG , but on quality , 100% more in terms on quality .

    • Who benefit the least ?

Day drivers ! Those working from 6am to 5pm type .

During day , we have jobs , but again , the strength is full force , more competitive .

And those jobs are during peak hour only .

After peak , we do have calls , but less , cos so many taxis on the road factors etc .....

    • You should have received an email the day AFTER you subscribe.  That email gives a link to the page with tips etc.  It's impossible that you did not receive that email as the email service Bobby is using has very high deliverability.  Even Gmail also don't filter their emails.  Either it went to your junk mailbox or you deleted without reading it.

    • Someone asked me , many asked the same question .

      Now i all-for-one and one-for all , simplified it up .

1st : U must inform Poolman that u are joining the group .

      2nd : Think of an id , from 11- 999 , depends on availability .

3rd : The best buy a second hand walkie talkie . Lake View has got plenty of second hand set , used . Cheap , but useable . Of course u can buy a new one from Sim Lim or Grid Comm , cheapest $300 i think .

4th : Meet me up for a Lake View receipt , which justifies u are qualify & approve to join Lake View , then Grid will issue you a Sim Card .

5th : With receipt , go to yellow page building bear Braddel MRT , to Grid Comm to sign up an account , with the id , u are raring to go .

6th : Then i try to teach you those basic commands of listening and bidding of jobs . And i prefer the new members to listen for a few days on who , where , when , will start crying for a cab .

      Member per month : $30

      Grid subscription : $30 plan .

That's all u need to pay Lake View $30 per month .

And call levy will depends on how many set of calls u took each month .

The funds from member is not for profit , we are still not there . Just good to substain the needs . Telephone lines , Operator Cost , etc ....

I've not been contributing to medisave for a few years as I'm self-employed.  In this case, would I still be able to carry on with the renewal even though my contributions are not paid to date?

      LOL... You very the cute.

In your first paragraph, you already stated that "one of the criteria" was that Medisave contributions must be paid up to date.  So, since you know that your Medisave is not paid up to date, what do youthink?

Things like CPF contribution is one of the "unseen" tax levied by the government.  So, it is very unlikely that you can renew your tvl.

By the way, you are self-employed means your business got registered with ACRA or not?  If have, then it's likely that you can't renew your license as well unless your make your medisave up to date.

    • The Australian economy is dominated by its service sector, representing 68% of Australian GDP. The agricultural and mining sectors (10% of GDP combined)[13] account for 57% of the nation's exports.[14]

    • australia is blessed with

1)coal for electricity and for melting iron

      2)iron ore for making iron

      3)titanium for making aircraft steel

4)lithium fields for making handphone batteries

      5)gold mines for making gold

6)vast lands for planting vegetables and producing pork, beef and mutton.

singapore hasnt any natural resources nor good leaders  but like hong kong, taiwan, china, thailand, malaysia they have all progressed to same level or ahead of australia without much natural resources..

so its really the people and the minerals found on that land that determines the future of the country.gov can be overthrown be it thru elections or coup by its people.so if people are weak...............u can complain until year 2050 also nothing will change in spore.singapore in 2050 will still be more or less like singapore in  2010.
